Sir Adrian Montague CBE, Chairman
Sir Adrian Montague is currently the non-executive Chairman of 3i, Michael Page International plc, Hurricane Exploration plc, Anglian Water Group Ltd and CellMark Investment AB of Gothenburg, and a non-executive director of Skanska AB of Stockholm.
Chairman of British Energy Group from 2004-2009 and Friends Provident Group from 2005-2009. From 2001-2004 he was Deputy Chairman of Network Rail Limited, the successor to Railtrack as the operator of Britain’s railway infrastructure, and from 2004-2005 Chairman of Cross London Rail Links Ltd, the company responsible for developing London’s £10bn Crossrail project.
Sir Adrian is also Chairman of London First and a Trustee of Historic Royal Palaces.
Mr Jay Hambro, Non-Executive Director
Mr Jay Hambro is Chairman of IRC Limited. IRC is an industrial commodity miner traded on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Mr Hambro began his career in metals and mining at NM Rothschild and later moved to the investment bank of HSBC.
He joined Petropavlovsk as a non-executive director before its listing on the London Stock Exchange in April 2002 and was subsequently appointed Chief Executive of Aricom, which developed part of IRC’s current portfolio. Following the acquisition of Aricom by Petropavlovsk in April 2009, he became the chief investment officer of Petropavlovsk, retaining responsibility for the Industrial Commodities Business of the Petropavlovsk Group. He relinquished this role in 2010 to become Executive Chairman of IRC Limited.
Mr Hambro also serves as an independent non-executive director for Winsway Coking Coal Holdings Limited, a company which operates in China and is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Mr Hambro holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths.
Mr Philippe Liétard, Non-Executive Director
Mr Philippe Liétard is Chairman of Randgold Resources Limited, a FTSE100 mining company traded on the London Stock Exchange and on Nasdaq. His experience in corporate and project finance and in investment banking extends over 35 years, most of them with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation.
He was Managing Director of UBS Global Natural Resources Fund from 2000 to 2003, and is now an independent consultant and a promoter of natural resources projects. He also serves on the board of the Rochambeau Foundation in Washington, DC which promotes French culture and education in North America.
Mr Liétard is a graduate of the École des Mines de Paris and of the Stanford University in California.
