In its relatively brief history, CellMark has grown at a pace unmatched in the industry. Since its establishment in 1984, CellMark has become one of the world’s foremost providers of supply chain services to the pulp and paper industry. Today, our group sales is 3 billion US dollars.
CellMark’s acquisition of Alcan International Network, which was completed at the end of 2011, is in terms of size and scope the most important acquisition in the company’s history. In addition to increasing the company’s number of employees from 525 to more than 700, the move resulted in the establishment of two new product divisions: CellMark Metals and CellMark Chemicals.
Today CellMark operate six specialized product divisions, each focusing on a basic product category. Two of these categories, Pulp and Recycling, are part of the paper-making process, Paper and Packaging represent the output of that process and the other two, Chemicals and
Metals, handles industrial and specialty chemicals and metals as well as equipment for the foundry industry.
CellMark also works with several other products. Our growing involvement in solid biofuels (in the form of woodchips and pellets) is managed by the Pulp division. The Packaging division works with starch and other additives. Stockholm-based Sicutec handles our sales of pre-owned paper mill equipment and machinery. Moreover, a selected range of basic chemicals are handled by CellMark Basic Chemicals.
The product divisions are represented and supported by CellMark’s global network of 65 offices in 30 countries — as well as a large number of representatives in other locales. Our sourcing activities extend to more than 70 countries, with sales in about 120 markets.
