On November 11, a team of CellMark Paper executives gathered in Qingdao, China to celebrate the office’s 10-year anniversary. CellMark Paper Divisional Head Joe Hoffman, along with a contingent from Gothenburg, made the trip to the Shangdong Province to congratulate their colleagues for a truly exceptional decade.

The evening started with a traditional Chinese good luck ceremony. It was followed by remarks from the executives, who expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Qingdao employees for their unmatched commitment and performance. They offered a special thanks to Diana Qiu and Vanessa Zhang, the office’s first employees.

“The Qingdao location has been extremely successful, and grown dramatically in just 10 years,” Joe Hoffman said. “In addition to developing several anchor clients and establishing a strong footprint in this critical and growing region, the Qingdao team has really embraced CellMark’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. We are looking forward to seeing our colleagues here build on their tremendous success in the next decade, and beyond.”

Chicago Party

CellMark’s annual Customer Appreciation Party in Chicago is always a fete to remember. An October rendezvous much appreciated by both business partners, employees and PaperSeed. This year, the party was held at the Godfrey Hotel’s I|O Urban Roofscape- a sprawling space that boasts cozy indoor elements with open patio space and a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline. The unique venue’s elemental theme was rounded out with fire dancers and elegant ice sculptures. Turn-out for the party was excellent, and PaperSeed raised a net total of $8,000, all of which will go directly to education projects that benefit children in underserved and resource-lacking communities around the world.

PaperSeed’s Executive Director Aliyya Mattos took advantage of the opportunity to speak to a number of interested business partners about possible future Corporate Social Responsibility projects, and is hopeful to establish a partnership with CasCell Trading in Canada.  Vic Rice, CellMark Recycling gave a shout out to business partners to support PaperSeed, either by establishing new partnerships or utilizing PaperSeed’s expertise as a unique opportunity to meet their CSR goals.

We are grateful for the opportunity to engage a caring company like CellMark in our mission. Without CellMark’s mutual dedication to providing children with the opportunities that education affords, we would not be able to impact as many young lives as we have. PaperSeed is looking forward to a prosperous future with CellMark and hopes to continue to strengthen relationships with business partners in order to create more lasting impact in underserved communities.
