Leadership Transition at CellMark

Today Henrik Forsberg Schoultz has made the difficult decision to resign from CellMark. His time with the company has been filled with great interactions and change in cooperation with the global team in CellMark’s offices around the world. Henrik has driven important initiatives and strengthen CellMarks ability to develop.

Nonetheless, Henrik has come to realize in a dialog with the Board of Directors that his leadership style is not aligned with the CellMark’s unique culture and management structure.

“It has been a privilege to lead CellMark and to work alongside so many talented and dedicated colleagues around the world,” says Henrik Forsberg Schoultz. “After reflecting on the company’s current position and the Board’s assignment, I believe I am not the right leader for CellMark’s next phase. CellMark has a strong foundation and a proud culture, and I am confident the company will continue to thrive.”

The Board of Directors extends its sincere appreciation to Henrik for his dedication and valuable contributions during 8 years in the company and wishes him every success in all his future endeavours.

As we look ahead, we are pleased to welcome Doug Smith as the new CEO of CellMark. Doug currently serves as Divisional President of Pulp and is a member of the CellMark Board of Directors. Since joining the company in 2009, Doug has played a pivotal role in driving performance within the Pulp division.

To ensure a smooth transition, Doug will continue in his current role during his first year as CEO. Based in Canada, he will work regularly from Sweden to stay closely connected with our global teams. Doug brings deep industry expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong commitment to our mission of surpassing expectations. The Board is confident in Doug’s ability to lead CellMark into its next chapter and looks forward to continued success under his leadership.
