Mr Daniel Dayan, Chairman of the Board
Daniel Dayan is an experienced chairman of global businesses, currently at specialty paper manufacturer Portals International and specialty chemicals producer Aquaspersions, in addition to his role at CellMark.
Daniel’s career has included senior roles in operations, corporate development and general management over 35 years, most recently as Chairman of Low & Bonar Plc, CEO of Klöckner Pentaplast Group and CEO of Fiberweb Plc. He holds a degree in engineering from Cambridge University and lives in London, UK.
Mr Thomas Hedberg, Non-Executive Director
Co-founder and Non-Executive Director of CellMark. Thomas is currently Chairman of Hills Golf AB and Hills Villastad, a property project owned by Hills Golf AB and Veidekke AB, board member of Svenska Mässans Trust, Stadshus AB and Demokraterna.
Additionally, Thomas is a member of the Västra Götaland Region Council and deputy member of the Gothenburg Council.
Previous roles include directorships of Basic Chemicals Solutions LLC, Crossroads AB, Atlantica AB, Belgfast AB and Benefast AB.
Mr Jimmy Derrico, Executive Director
President of CellMark’s Recycling division and intimately involved in the growth of Cellmark’s Recycling Group since 1990. Jimmy is the 4th generation of his family in the Recycling industry and is a lifetime veteran of the Recycling industry, with extensive hands-on experience and knowledge of all facets of the industry.
Jimmy attended Boston College (School of Management).
Mr Ola Cronholm, Non-Executive Director
Investment Manager at Ernström & C:o, where Ola is involved in several different investments.
Prior to Ernström & C:o, Ola served as CFO and Investment Manager at Profura AB, a family-owned investment house based in Gothenburg. During this period, Ola had board positions in several companies within the Swedish wood industry. Prior to Profura, Ola has had positions at IK Investment Partners in London and Arthur Andersen auditing.
Ola holds a master’s degree in Financial Economics.
Mr Henrik Forsberg Schoultz, Non-Executive Director
CEO at Ernström & C:o. At Ernström & C:o Henrik was earlier responsible for the investment organization and currently he represents Ernström on the boards of Stampen Media, 24Storage, and Wint.
Prior to Ernström & C:o, Henrik was an investment professional at Nordstjernan, family-owned investment company, where he was co-responsible for Etac Group and Bygghemma Group. Henrik has also worked at McKinsey & Company where he supported numerous different (+20) clients with strategic topics.
Mr Doug Smith, Executive Director
President of CellMark’s Pulp division, CellMark’s founding division now including the Energy and Nordic Caustic groups. Doug has been in the pulp industry for over 20 years and has worked for both the agency and producer side of the industry.
Doug started his career as an entrepreneur in Retail with two successful
leisure product stores in Ontario, Canada, before joining the pulp industry in 1994. He has also launched and managed a start-up manufacturing facility in the specialty wood panel industry introducing the world’s first engineered coated board.
Doug also sits on the Board of the PaperSeed Foundation, CellMark’s fully funded charitable arm.
Ms Sara Murray OBE, Non-Executive Director
Serial technology entrepreneur, having founded Ninah Consulting and Inspop, which owns the brand Confused.com, an insurance comparison site. Sara developed and runs Buddi, the first wearable-as-a-service company and is member of the British Government’s Technology Strategy Board and Seedcamp.
Sara is an Entrepreneur of the Year winner, governing board member of Innovate UK and a Non-Executive Director (NED) of Schering Healthcare, a NED of Boohoo.com plc, sits on the Council of Imperial College London, was a finalist in the Blackberry Awards for Women in Technology and a finalist in the Real Business First Woman Awards.
She was awarded Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours 2012.
Mr Christer Simrén, Executive Director
President and CEO, CellMark. Christer has extensive Board and Executive experience and has served as Member of Kinnevik Group Management, Executive Advisor for Accent Equity Partners, as COO and EVP at BillerudKorsnäs AB, as President and CEO at Korsnäs AB, as President and CEO at Nordic Paper Bäckhammar AB and as MD and Founder of Mediabricks AB.
Christer holds a PhD, i.e Dr Sc Industrial Management & Economics and a Master of Science in Business, Accounting and Finance and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Mrs Johanna Lamminen, Non-Executive Director
Johanna Lamminen has 7 years of experience in the energy and gas industry gained in her position as CEO of the energy company Gasum. In her current position, she has led Gasum’s expansion in the Nordic gas and energy markets. She has extensive experience in the finance sector and organizational and business development.
Johanna Lamminen is also on the Board of Directors of Cargotec Corporation and the Board of Directors of Sampo Plc. She was earlier also a member of the Board of Directors of Tieto Plc (2016–2019) and Evli Bank Plc (2016–2019). In addition, she chairs the Board of Directors of the Finnish Foundation for Technology Promotion (TES) and is a member of the Board of Directors of ETLA Economic Research and the Board of Directors of the Finnish Business and Policy Forum (EVA). Johanna Lamminen holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) and she also has an MBA degree.
Mr Victor Rice, Non-Executive Director
Formerly Senior Vice President at CellMark. Vic is a graduate of Santa Clara University with a degree in International Marketing and Management. As a founding partner of Pacific Forest Resources Inc., acquired by CellMark in 1989, Vic has 40 years of experience in the marketing and management of recyclable commodities.
