Shanghai Pulp Week Shows Continued Optimism

Shanghai Pulp Week concluded two weeks ago and the overwhelming sentiment was one of continued positive momentum for pulp pricing traction and a desire from Chinese paper customers for stability.  Incredibly, pulp availability continues to be tight and without the prospect of new capacity in either hardwood or softwood on the horizon, this market condition might continue for some time.

CellMark’s Pulp Division was represented by Doug Smith, who also presented on behalf of our partner PaperSeed Foundation.

Thanks to the generosity of Hawkins Wright, Pulp Division and the Shanghai Symposium attendees, PaperSeed Foundation has given the opportunity to fund four unique education projects that have directly impacted over 1,400 children in rural China.

Impressive and pleasing!
